Becoming an Auditor

There is a rigorous process for becoming an OutdoorsMark auditor. Applicants must have significant experience in the outdoors community, have been in a senior management position for ten years or more, hold outdoors qualifications and have undergone auditor training. Referees are required and applicants must sign a Code Of Conduct and an Independent Contractor Agreement.

The Code of Conduct and Independent Contractor Agreement govern the way in which OutdoorsMark auditors work. It includes elements such as acting professionally and in an unbiased manner, only disclosing audit information when the law requires or when a client authorises, and not communicating misleading information that may compromise an audit's integrity.

At present, we are not actively recruiting new auditors. As the Adventure Activities Regulations gather momentum and demand for outdoors safety audits increases, this situation will be reviewed.
