	NZ JOURNAL OF OUTDOOR EDUCATION The New Zealand Journal of Outdoor Education publishes original refereed contributions on all aspects of outdoor education, with a particular emphasis on articles that apply academic insights to practice. The NZ Journal also reprints meritorious articles with a New Zealand context that have been published elsewhere, and encourages the work of established and emerging writers.

	NATIONAL INCIDENT DATABASE The National Incident Database is designed for people and organisations involved in self-propelled outdoor pursuit / outdoor adventure activities. The project aims to create a standard method for collecting and analysing outdoor incident data, to identify incident trends for organisations and the outdoors sector, and to inform current accepted practice. Project partners include the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council, Outdoors New Zealand, Education Outdoors New Zealand and the Ministry of Education.

	ONLINE FORUM The ONZ Online Forum is coming soon! The online forum is designed to foster networking and knowledge transfer within the New Zealand and International outdoors communities. Topics will include Safety and Risk management, Teaching and Learning, Applied Theory and Practice, Adventure-based Tourism, Sustainability and the Environment, and general topics of interest.
	THE CONFLUENCE CONFERENCE The International Outdoor Recreation & Education Conference 2008 was a great success. Proceedings are available from Outdoors New Zealand. We look forward to hosting the Confluence - Tutakitanga again in January 2012 in Wellington.
