The Outdoors Awards are hosted annually by Outdoors New Zealand.
The Outdoors Awards recognise the highest levels of individual and organisational achievement in outdoor recreation and education in New Zealand.
Each award is judged by a panel nominated from each of the relevant outdoors community organisations, thus ensuring that nominees are being impartially and expertly appraised.
The Outdoors Awards are open to any individual or organisation contributing to outdoors recreation and education in New Zealand.

Nominations open in July.
The Outdoors Awards are held on the first night of The Outdoors Forum.
The Outdoors Forum 2012 will be held on the 12-13 October, at the Comfort & Quality Hotel in Wellington.
